I've been using a Ray Cook center shafted mallet putter for a long time. I finally broke down and ordered a new one....only because the old one was chipped so badly I had been painting it for a year or so and got tired of doing that. I've only used this new one for one round and putted as well as ever. I liked the feature in the old one that let me put the club over the ball and pick it up. This one works, too, but not quite as well. Maybe it will when I get on to it.

The putter provides a great site line and the ball jumps off the face with a quickness that promotes confidence, I would never pay the price of the big name putter makers after using the Ray Cook Silver Ray.

IT IS A LITTLE LIGHT FEELING,LOOKS GREAT AND APPEARS TO HAVE GOOD BALANCE. TIME WILL TELL.

I wanted to try a mallet putter but was reluctant to spend $300 on an experiment. This putter is very good and sets up nicely. It's a little heavier than the Scottie Cameron and Bulls Eye I have used in the past but with a little practice distance control is improving. It's staying in the bag and I see no need to buy the Taylor Made I was considering.

Very good putter. Best value in the market. A bit on the light side, but I added lead tape to increase the head weight. The face and the visual alignment are spot on.

It is very smooth and not too heavy or light. The oversized grip is one of the best and most comfortable I have used.

Haven't had enough opportunities to really get a feel for this putter, but so far ,so good.

Helps keep my putts on line. Significantly less pushing or pulling of putts. Excellent value.

I've done my research on getting a new putter and there are a lot of great putters out there. The Ray Cook putter meets all the specs of some of the much-higher-priced putters but at a significantly lower cost. I did read the reviews and it seems that where the bottom line is with the higher-priced putters is that they are more hardy over the long haul with paint chipping, face staying intact, etc. I've only had my Ray Cook putter for a few weeks and with my practice I'm seeing great results so we shall see. A happy customer so far.

I've used my SR400 for a month. Honestly must say that my putting strokes have improved 100%. Last 3 rounds not a 3putt on my card. Designed to line up you putts perfectly.

Bought this putter and switched from a blade putter to a mallet putter. I like the way it feels and the look of it. I also like the alignment lines on top. Really good on long putts as well. The grip is soft and comfortable.

A great putter for the price. Love the alignment system. Made more putts last week than I usually make with my Odyssey 2-ball that I have been using for 10+ years. Still prefer my Super Strokes grip so I may change that in the future.

Awesome putter for a knock-off!

Large grip, weight is evenly distributed on the putting head. Ball comes off the head cleanly and feels great. I am very pleased with the club so far. Very close to a 5 star rating.

Have liked at this putter for awhile and after a another day of struggling I order one. After some practice inside and then outside I but it into play. One round so far and I'm happy with the results. Very smooth roll a d does not have the bounce and jump of the head at contact.

This putter is very similar to the name brand that costs 5 to 6 time more. It's weighted and balanced properly and works just as well as the expensive model. I will be buying Ray Cook putters from this time forward.

Took this straight to Wild Horse In NE for a run after Unboxing. The putter is slightly upright for my style but I actually putted pretty well with it. Thanks for a great deal RBG!

I had been using blade putters for a long time. I had a new Cleveland Huntington Beach Soft putter that I used until just 2 weeks ago when I bought this guy. The color pops which makes lining things up really easy, and the weight is a significant improvement from the blades I had been using. I bought this putter because it was on sale and I could get a solid 'trial' putter for $30 to see what shape I liked and if a change like that would improve my putting. Boy did it! First putt with this new putter was a 30'+ putt that I drained no looking back! The weighting is great and definitely what I need to be using. Only negative that I have for it is the paint will chip off. You kind of expect that, but as that happens over the face of the putter it will impact the surface area of impact negatively. Once mine starts to chip at all it will get a visit to the work bench to clean the face entirely of paint.

Not as heavy as I expected, but has a nice feel. A few more rounds and I'll stop leaving them short.

I was having trouble putting righty consistently so I decided why not grab something cheap to try lefty. Since then, lights out. Between a different approach and going from a blade to a counterweight I'm not blowing putts past the hole or leaving them 4 feet short anymore. Not to mention the grip is really comfy.

First impression is very positive. This is a heavy club. It weighs about the same as my [big name] mallet putter. Finish is almost as good at 1/3 the price. The pictures don't do it justice. Unlike some putter style chippers this has a very solid build, yet still gives good feedback. The hybrid-profile face, cavity back and a large sole produce shots that are much more consistent than any wedge I've ever used. Set up on the right big toe, give it a pendulum swing and the ball hops to where you pointed it. Getting it to stop will take some practice, definitely a bump & run club. I am still going to carry a lob wedge but this will save more strokes around the green than I ever gained from carrying an approach wedge. Full disclosure-I am not a good golfer; that seems to be the point of this club.

I have trouble making those 3,4 footers. I always have. However, I seems to work extremely well on longer puts. One friend thought it was heavy, another thought it was light, but it seem just about right. Happy with the purchase so far.

This putter has a comfortable grip larger than most but not as large as others. Sort of in the middle. It takes some getting used too as it feels a little heavier than most putters, but easy to adjust to.

Putters are a personal preference, so others may have a different experience. I wanted to try a center-shafted putter to help me stay online, especially for short and intermediate putts. Have used the putter three times now and I'm really learning to like it! Played 9 yesterday and 7 of the 9 holes, of varying distances, all first putts stopped just a few inches from the hole, making it easy for a 2 putt. more practice and who knows what will happen, no more 3 putts!!! My partners were all commenting on my putting!

i use this club anytime i am off the green in the short stuff. hit it just like a putter. easier to land the ball where you want vs. a wedge.

Well designed club, very thick grip. It is a bit on the heavier side so it was different at first.

If I were a better golfer it would probably be five star. I do like it. Good balance, forgiving as it has wide sweet spot. Cost was about 15% of what my brother uses. Very close to each other. Happy with purchase.

By far, this is the best putter I’ve owned. The weight is just right. Line it up and aim it in the direction of the hole and let the good times roll. I was either making the putts or very close all day long. I’m looking forward to my next round armed with the “green machine”.

First center-shafted putter and I rally appreciate the changed positioning and site lines. The putter feels solid and well made.

I wanted to get a mallet type putter, and I really enjoy it. It has a nice weight and balance to it, and I feel better control as opposed to my Odyssey blade style putter. I do wish that it had some type of insert to give it a softer feel as I don't like the "tink" sound or feel you get when hitting the ball. Overall its given me more confidence on the greens and am enjoying the putter.
