I like the NEW Q-Stars that I bought from RBG so I gave these a shot. They came VERY quickly from RBG shipping and the price was right. Right off the bat I noticed a strong chemical smell which I assume is from the cleaning process. 2)That process is likely what removed the "gloss" from the ball. While they ARE clean (about 5% still had scuff marks), I can't imagine that the increased resistance won't affect ball flight, especially direction, when spin is applied. 3)There were very few logo overrun balls but 67% of them had previous user markings on them, some to ridiculous extremes (I mean all sides of the ball had sharpie marks). Out of 3 bags only 4 balls were Srixon but NOT Q-Star so that is pretty good. Overall I am a bit disappointed that these were described as "near mint" but now I will apply this to future purchases. For most of these I will use them as "water balls" (where I am likely to lose a drive if I don't hit a perfect shot) or practice balls. They just don't feel "new" enough to use in golf rounds.
