These Wilson D9 irons have made golf fun again. I have tried every brand over the last 5 years because of my declining flexibility. These are so forgiving and they're easy to get up in the air so they stay on the green. You won't find a better set of irons for this price.

D7 IRONS
October 3, 2023
This is a set of irons I've regretted letting go for years. If you fight a hook like I did then...these may not be for you. Now that I'm older with a much slower swing speed, they are the perfect iron. I had the Dynapower irons and like these better.
Pros
  • LONG, FORGIVING, AND PLAYABLE FROM ANY LIE.
Cons
  • NONE FOR ME.

Had Wilson's when I started playing then went to Callaway irons. Thought I would give Wilson another try. Been hitting the D7's at least 10 to 15 yards farther. Love the narrow blade look at the top. Very underrated irons..
Pros
  • Great feel off the face.
Cons
  • None

Great Purchase

I have always been a forged iron player but now in my mid 50's starting to loose a little distance. I hit these a a fitting shop one day and seen the numbers go up greatly from my current irons. I thought about it for about 4 weeks and finally went and purchased them. Hitting these about 1 1/2 clubs longer having to get use to that but it is helping me now with a lot lower scores. Also purchased the 3-4 D7 Hybrids very easy to hit.
Pros
  • LONG
  • Cost
  • Good looking club
  • Lots of spin
Cons
  • None

As an older golfer I was hitting the ball straight but losing some distance. Bought these because other reviews said people gained yardage. Due to Covid I only played them once, but did notice a gain of about 5 yards. The sound they make on impact is pure. Very impressed
Pros
  • Distance gain
  • Confidence
Cons
  • Slightly heavier than my old Pings

repeat purchase

I already had these irons in graphite shafts & love them. Many of my playing buddies picked up D7's but in steel shafts. I wanted to see what I was missing & always worry about graphite vs. steel for longevity & quality. Graphite has come along ways from the ole days! The D7's are some of the best irons at a great price you can buy. I prefer the graphite shafts that are good quality over the feel of the steel but regardless, these clubs are super easy to hit high, long, forgiving & feel great when struck moderately well.
Pros
  • forgiving
  • don't look like shovels
  • lot of tech in a pleasing look.
  • quality stock shaft offerings.
  • Quality at a decent price point
Cons
  • 5 thru gap always leaves a decision on holes to fill with additional purchase of D7 irons or alternate hybrid / wedges

Distance machines
March 11, 2019
10 rounds of Florida vacation golf & I can say that these clubs are distance machines. Regular graphite shafts make these clubs fly super high even though strong lofted heads & they go far! I found the long irons super easy to hit & the 5 iron was the easiest 5 iron I have ever used to hit solid. They look pretty nice though you can see the back edge of the club which inspires forgiveness yet they don't look chunky at address at all. My buddies were impressed & looking into this model. I realize this sounds like all the reviews we read but I was truly impressed with these clubs & you need to at least put these on your demo list to see if they work for you.
Pros
  • Distance
  • very high flight
  • cost
  • look sharp
