Not Warm
February 1, 2024
So here it is. I have bought several winter type golf gloves. I have no problem playing in 30 to 40 degree weather and have been doing so throughout the winter.
When I received these gloves the palm and front of fingers was simply a regular leather palm as with an ordinary golf glove a golfer would use in the spring/fall/summer, and the back was a pseudo type of fleece it appeared.
II put them on and the gloves were not warm at all. IN fact, the price for these at over $40 + seems literally absurd in light of the fact that these gloves do absolutely nothing to keep your fingers warm. It's very disappointing considering the price tag and they look very stylish.
In contrast, my pair of $15 Ray Cook winter gloves (I now have two pairs) have kept me actually warm on cold days going down to literally 35 degrees or so. A month ago, I played and it literally started blizzarding, and the Ray cooks kept me pretty good in low 30 degree weather until about 4.5 hours in (we played two rounds - there was no one on course) when I dropped a drink on them and my hands started to feel cold and wet towards the end.
I have now ordered 3 or 4 different brands of gloves and Ray Cook's seem to be the warmest and the only one that actually does what it says. The footjoy stasof winter gloves however, look nice, but are not warm, at all unfortunately.
