Ideal 60 degree wedge
August 24, 2022
I'm a low handicap golfer for one reason - strong wedge play. Just replaced my Cleveland RTX-4 60 degree with a new ZipCore 60 degree. Very similar to the previous versions of top Cleveland wedges, but the grooves seem to have bit better grip. This is a classic blade style wedge. If you're a good wedge player, this is an outstanding club. If you struggle with wedges, pass on this and buy a Cleveland CBX.
ProsClassic shape Great feedback Spins the ball well Can hit a variety of shots with it

Great Wedge

I recently traded in a few clubs and was in need of some new wedges. The purchase exceeded my expectations and the "Home in 2" delivery service was a great added bonus. The wedges have a great feel and ball control. It adds a new level of confidence knowing the ball will stop on a dime.

Early on loving the wedge. The weight feels better to me than the vokey it replaced. You can flight shots and club provides plenty of spin to stop balls on a dime.
ProsLooks amazing, great weighting, good head shape

Gets it done

I needed a mid bounce lob and am very happy with the advantages this club provides. It is just right for those powdery bunkers and tight lies. The zip core feel is so different from the standard feel, it gives you more confidence that the shot you planned will be achieved.

Great wedges

I needed a replacement for my loved TM full face wedges due to gapping issues in my irons. I like same wedges not a mix & needed a gap wedge so also a SW to match. Zip Core look smaller & more players wedge to me but they are packed with hidden technology that really gives forgiveness on the course. They feel heavy which is good as more controllable in the swing. The bounce data is confusing so research your swing ( divots) & usual playing conditions when ordering or see your local PGA Pro. I ended up with mid bounce in the gap ( full swing) & full bounce in the SW which has worked out well so far for me. Lots of options to fit your bag & swing type.
ProsPlenty of options ( bounce & loft) Lots of built in forgiveness for a "normal" looking wedge Cleveland is a recognized performer in wedges
ConsBounce question can be confusing.

Could not possibly be happier with a club. Great feel with full shots and for me, and it has become my go to club for chipping around the green. I also want to point out how speedily everything I have ever ordered from this company has arrived.
