I bought all they had
May 2, 2023
I heard of these after seeing them stack up evenly against the Titleist ProV1. I play to a mid single digit with a low swing speed but probably the best ball I've ever played. Buy all you can from someone else.

SD Tour X Balls

Excellent 3 piece urethane ball for the price. Stacks up against the big names for a fraction of the cost. With a 95 compression on this ball it’s a little too firm for my swing speed but I got them for my son and he’s a big bomber. Hard enough off the driver and still soft enough off the putter. Great price and fast shipping.
Pros
  • Price
  • Urethane cover
  • A little higher compression for son

  • None

Love everything about it. As long as anything I’ve played, checks up on green, and feels real good on putter. 10 handicap. Unbeatable price

I am 70 and a 6 handicap. I can’t tell the difference between this ball and the more expensive premium balls.

  • Other players ask if the Spalding ball is from the 1960s.

Best urethane ball deal on the internet!
January 26, 2022
Just got the SD Tour x and with my 51 year old, 12 handicap, 98 MPH swing, my Flightscope confirmed there was no statistically significant deviation in swing parameter numbers than the previously enjoyed Pro V1 and Pro V1x that I had at my simulator. Hope they are as durable as they seem, but won't know until spring. I'll play any urethane ball as my game needs the greenside spin, and usually buy the best urethane ball deal I can find. This is it! No BS!
Pros
  • Urethane covered ball for super short money!
Cons
  • Spalding, Not cool, as if anyone cares! But you can make Caddyshack jokes!

These balls perform well enough for an average golfer. I'm not going to claim they are equal to a premium ball, but they feel good, have green holding spin and are long enough to get it done at a fraction of the cost.
Pros
  • Price
  • Spin

Cons
  • Distance

Very straight ball and very good overall
April 16, 2021
I have used the SD Tour X and SD Tour plus the least expensive Pure Speed. The PS and SD Tour may be two of the best putting balls I have ever played with. I have tried all kinds of golf balls that I have found or bought. Pro V1, V1x, AVX, Tour Soft, Velocity (no thanks), Cally Supersoft (not bad), ChromeSoft (good but expensive), Z-Stars, etc. I personally like soft Wilson golf balls especially off the irons. The SD Tour X has to be probably the straightest ball that I have ever hit. I can pretty much find 95% of my fairways with it. My driver is the very forgiving and good Cobra F9. If I am not careful, I sometimes have a slice but very very rare with this ball. It is a long ball too. Great off the driver, fairway woods are fine. Irons are good though the SD Tour is a little software. Wedges are fine and you should be able to get enough spin to hold the greens. Putting is good but the SD Tour seems to put a little better. This is supposedly a Pro V1x clone. They are close but I think I like the SD Tour X better. They are also slightly different and are not clones. If you are playing a tight course and need your drives in the fairway - try this ball.
Pros
  • A very straight ball. If you have a slice issue - this ball will help. Tight fairways or water on the course - use this ball. Overall it is an excellent ball.
Cons
  • The SD Tour is a little softer but they are both so close.
