This is a thicker baselayer than the UPF 50+ version, and it has a raised mock type collar that you will notice while wearing it. Although not painted on skin tight like the UPF50+, it is still snug. If you want it to hang like a T shirt, order at least a size up

This base layer is not as tight as you may expect, in fact it was a little loose compared to others. However, it still did the job of keep me warm.
